Oostenwald started an architectural practice at the end of 1994 and was joined by Wynand Schabort in 1995. Schabort Nothnagel Architecture cc was registered in 1995.
The practice soon developed a reputation as a young innovative and energetic architectural practice. Experiences in a wide field of architecture were soon gained.
In early 2007 Oostenwald obtained 100% shareholding. The firm was re-constituted as Oostenwald Nothnagel Architects cc. In mid-2018 the firm was re-constituted as Oostenwald Nothnagel Architects (PTY) LTD.
